Day 001

Origami

Planned for April 6, 2026. A gentle start that rewards patience, precision, and quiet focus.

Creative Easy Scaffolded page

Why I Picked This

Origami feels like the right Day 1 skill because it is simple to start, cheap to try, and strangely calming. One square sheet of paper is enough to remind me that good results usually come from slowing down and paying attention.

This page is scaffolded on purpose. Once I actually do the challenge day, I will replace this draft copy with photos, notes from my attempt, and what surprised me the most.

What You Need

Starter Supply

Origami Paper Pack

A basic pack with multiple colors is enough for cranes, flowers, and simple beginner folds.

What I Learned

This section is a placeholder for now. After the real attempt, I will turn it into a simple log of what worked, what kept going wrong, and how long it took to make the first clean shape.

  • Precise folds matter more than speed.
  • Simple patterns become satisfying when every crease is deliberate.
  • It is a good reminder that patience is a physical skill too.

Would I Do It Again?

Very likely, yes. Even as a placeholder, this feels like the kind of skill that can become a five-minute reset after a noisy workday.
