Day 003
Calligraphy
Planned for April 8, 2026. A creative skill that looks calm on screen and humbling in real life.
Why I Picked This
Calligraphy is interesting because it sits somewhere between drawing, handwriting, and meditation. It also fits the bigger spirit of this website: making basic things feel beautiful again.
For now this page is a clean scaffold. Once I try it properly, I will add the sheet I practiced on, the strokes that felt most awkward, and whether my hand cramped immediately.
What You Need
What I Learned
This is placeholder guidance until the real attempt happens. The final version will include what stroke drills helped, how long I lasted before rushing, and what I would tell another beginner.
- Slow, repeatable drills matter more than trying to write beautiful words too early.
- Consistency in spacing is just as important as line variation.
- It is a useful reminder that control usually looks simple from the outside.

Would I Do It Again?
Almost definitely. It feels like one of those skills that can keep paying off because better handwriting changes how notes, cards, and small gestures feel.
